This novel The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe appeals to adolescents at high school or middle school level. This novel appeals to adolescents because it shows examples of a dictatorship. A dictatorship is bad because of how it has an impact on the characters and how they go along with it and the laws they go by are wrong to some people and may evan offend some people. Adolescents like seeing a dictatorship because they also like seeing it fall. Like how it shows how the white witch is dictating the country of Narnia. One other reason this novel may is it shows how when there may be people you don't like or exactly agree with that you can’t just off them or get rid or them. Like when the white witch turns all the people that petray her into stone statues. That is my insite for the novel The Lion, the WItch and the Wardrobe .

I agree, Landis. I think adolescence is a time when people are really shaping their own opinions about government and what's fair or not fair, and you're right - they really like to see an unfair dictatorship fall. Adults like to see that, too. I think those adolescent years, though, are an especially important time to learn that lesson about how you can't just off someone you don't like! (You have to learn it just in time to start a career where you have to remember that every day so you'll keep bringing home a paycheck, right?!)
