This novel Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell does appeal to an adolescent audience because it discusses problems that many teens face. Eleanor is a new student and her parents are getting a divorce. As a teenager she struggles to find out who she really is because she is being bullied. Many teenagers are bullied for being new or not being who the world expects them to be.Eleanor also struggles to make friends because of her weight. Many teenagers struggle to find friends because they feel over weight or not pretty enough. In this novel it is a young teenage girls struggle to find hope and to find herself again.
