Taming the Star Runner would be appealing to teens because it shows that even if someone has made poor choices and numerous mistakes, they can change. Teens would enjoy this book because Travis is learning that even through all the mistakes he has made it does not make the person who they are. In the novel it explains how no one really likes him and moving to a new place can be very difficult especially if you are not used to it. It also explains if something worked this way in a certain place it might not work that way in another place, because little does he know his city attitude has to change because the country life style is very different. Although the main character of the book is Travis other characters in the book are very relatable for example his uncle is going through a divorce and is struggling through it. This novel would be good for anyone who is going through life changes and is in need of knowing you can change and you don't have to be someone you're not. This novel would interest young teenagers because the character in the book is very relatable and a person someone could connect with.
